Michelle Chai
Michelle Chai graduated from the University of Charles Sturt Australia with a Master of Business (E-Commerce). She is also a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants as well as an associate member of Association of Bank Malaysia. She is a certified financial planner and islamic financial planner.
Michelle had spent more than 25 years in the banking industry where she gained vast experience in lending, business development, product development, system integration and IT project management. She held senior position in an international bank as a regional manager in Consumer Banking and was a Senior Vice President in a regional bank in charge of nationwide sales for Business Banking.
Michelle has experience as a consultant for companies and facilitators for learning organisations and banks.
Alias Harun
Prior to retiring, Alias led HSBC as Managing Director of Retail Banking of its Islamic outfit from 2011 to 2013, and Area Director Southern Region from 2007 to 2011. He has had wide experience having served the bank in various capacities spanning over a period of 37 years. Alias’ tour of duties covered the area of International Trade Financing, Treasury, Corporate Marketing and Finance, as well as having extensive fieldwork on the retail banking and branch operations and networks.
Accredited with the successful opening of a major branch in Johor Bahru, he was tasked with transforming and streamlining the diverse operations of the bank credits and loans administrations by having them centralised at the Head Office. The complex physical transfer of files and documents along with the staff relocation had resulted in enhanced service delivery for customers throughout the network. Following this gainful initiative, more (network based) backroom functions had since been centralised.
On the retail side, Alias was instrumental with the successful implementation of expanding the market outreach through detailed branch relocation and opening of new branches programme. Working closely with both the regulatory Government bodies and the ground team, he was responsible in identifying and overseeing the opening of 14 new branches in both Peninsular and East Malaysia over a period of 2 years.


Elise Chu
Elise holds a Masters of Arts (Communications) from RMIT University. She has 18 years of experience in the digital and advertising industry and has worked in top-tiered global agencies and digital transformation firms. Elise has led blue chip accounts and pioneered first-ever-in-Malaysia digital campaigns to earn her industry recognition and effectiveness awards.
In her previous role, Elise was Country Head at an Australian-owned digital consulting firm, overseeing operations and developing business opportunities alongside a team of over 150+ digital technology and marketing experts. Her focus was to establish a strong foundation operationally and strategically to transition the company into an end-to-end digital consulting firm. This included being part of the leadership team through two company acquisitions.
She is currently co-owner of Bitlab, a full-service digital technology company focused on creating the best customer experiences and building integrated technology solutions and products to drive growth for her clients.
Elise is also passionate about growing talent and building a strong organisational culture. She is a certified Organisational Coach by the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL).
Suresh Kumar
Suresh had been in the banking sector for over 35 years. During this time, he had exposure in different capacities in various departments of the Bank. This has also enabled him to play a critical role in setting up a successful new Middle Eastern bank in Malaysia.
Suresh is certified by Human Resources Development Agency under the Ministry of Human Resource Malaysia as a trainer. He has conducted various Change Management programmes which involved a total of 7,000 staff of all levels. The huge success of the program was well received and he was invited to duplicate the same in Bangladesh.
He also led a team to conduct Branch Intervention Development programs throughout Malaysia, with the objective of improving work flow and inspiring staff to embrace changes and to continue improving their performance. He enjoys seeing people succeed and realise goals that they never thought were achievable through hard work, determination and empowerment.
His training experience includes making presentations, conducting assessments, evaluations, identifying training needs and designing customised programmes. His facilitating style is highly interactive infused with excitement, fun and enthusiasm to assist the learners grasp ideas and inputs in an effective and relaxed manner.


Natasha Harun
Natasha is in the business of helping and cheering for people. She does that by designing programmes and lesson plans, conducting workshops to train talents in improving their communication skills. She coaches empowerment skills and helps turn ideas into actionable plans and has taken an increasing leadership responsibility throughout her career in addition to having project-managed skeletal teams with a modest budget. She has experience in liaising with government institutions and agencies, PLCs, NGOs and has worked alongside both industry players and grassroot communities.
Her 15 years of combined experience in PR, publishing, retail, F&B and education have one thing in common, and that is building relationships. She finds her motivation in cultivating them because when done right, they will lead to impactful outcomes. She believes that people get the job done, and it is important to listen to their wants and needs to ensure optimum growth and productivity.
Natasha holds a master’s degree from the Metropolitan College of New York in Media Management and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Curtin University. She is also a Google certified educator and an #IamRemarkable facilitator as she continues to keep up with the current digital tools to remain relevant in this field. She is especially passionate about narrowing both the digital and traditional learning gaps in public institutions and community engagement related projects.
